Sifting through the cracks In Orderly Ruin Morning shifts in mass All stuck in between One and everyone Within our whole selves We live in the smallest parts Unique in our entirety Of incredibly perfect cells Yet struggling to find purpose to this beauty
2.
I Wonder If I detached myself from this chain of events Could I be Behind a sudden disorderly ruin I wonder How difficult can in be To keep away from your symmetricality Please lend a hand Attach the chains right back together And slot between these two our filing system never fails Stored in this box The perfect life for you I wonder if I detached myself from this chain of events Could I slot back in Into my orderly life Orderly world Orderly Ruin

about

Brigitte Beraha’s ‘Lucid Dreamers’ - her first new band as a leader in over ten years - premiered at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall as a trio with the ‘inventive’ George Crowley (Melt Yourself Down, Yazz Ahmed) on tenor saxophone/ electronics and ‘high energy and powerful’ Tim Giles (Nostalgia 77, Iain Ballamy) on drums/electronics in November 2019 as part of the London Jazz Festival with music written by Brigitte, inspired by the industrial world that we live in. Now extended to a quartet with Alcyona Mick (Natacha Atlas) on piano, the quartet’s première was due to take place at Milton Court Concert Hall as part of the Guildhall Jazz Festival on 20th April (postponed until 2021).
“Something of a new departure for her, the small, electronically enhanced unit offering unique challenges which pay-off surprisingly well. Her lissom vocals frequently overlaid by looping, creating a mesmeric effect […] with ethereal, emotionally imbued soundscapes.” Jazz Journal
